Xcel energy just came out without any notification and removed part of a huge tree away from the powerlines. I live on the road, they have left much of the tree standing, and it looks awful. They also have left all the debris, including huge stumps in the yard. We were never notified of this, we are elderly and on a limited budget. Expecting homeowners to remove this amount of debris and leave them with an unsightly…

Crooks is probably the nicest term I can use to describe this company. I moved out of my previous residence on September 16th, yet somehow they insist that I selected September 20th as my service termination date. Their only evidence is their own internal records, which apparently are supposed to be accepted as unquestionable fact. Any reasonable company with even the slightest commitment to customer service would r…

I've had several extremely disappointing experiences with Xcel in the past couple weeks, after years of being a good customer and having very few complaints. Recently I had a concern about a neighbor's tree touching my power lines; I called to ask about it, was told that folks come by every 5 years to check and make sure there is no danger...and then when I asked how long it had been since someone had looked at mine…

Processed a move and then Xcel never actually finished up the job on their end and never added my name to the account, 3 months later my apartment hits me with a fat pass thru electricity bill + vacant fees for not having the Xcel account in my name. I guess when you run a regional monopoly it doesn’t matter how awful your service is.

It's a shame we have only one entity we can use and they suck. I have contacted them several times regarding a power shutdown and they remove the account from my name. I call back several more times and get completely different answer's in trying to complete my request and still didn't get it done. The customer service I'm sorry the attitude is ridiculous. We need choices.
