We had to bring them to court—TWICE— for withholding our security deposit (which was of course more than the standard one month rent) without reason and without proper, legal notification and documentation. They were terrible, unresponsive landlords and they did not return my damage deposit for over 20 days after the allotted time (21 days is the state law for time to return damage deposits) and did not return the full amount despite the fact that it was cleaner and in better condition than when I moved in.
