ZERO STARS! This company is vile to the absolute core! $400 new deposit just to transfer from one apartment to another in the same complex? Even though I already paid a $200 last year for the old apartment, have NEVER been late and have excellent credit. Vile to the damn core. Screwing people over when times are so tough for so many just to had a few billion more to your profit margin.

There is no greater Evil. DUKE loves scamming clients nationwide. Duke on Dec 2025 chose to increase Deposit amounts on ALL customers, both business and residential. My initial deposit was 240.00. They requested an additional 605.00 or they would turn my service off.

Customer service is a JOKE!! I had a random $170 charge and when I called I first go a robot, then eventually was transferred to a call center who was fine and unwilling to help or discuss the charge. GREEDY

This is absolutely ridiculous I called Duke Energy to get a few days extension on my current bill and was told that I have no longer have the option to get an extension this year due to the fact that i have already request an extension (2x) this year.
