Does a pool builder need a licence in Hawaii?

How much do pool builders charge in Honolulu?

Pool builders in the Urban Honolulu metro earn a median $37.48 an hour (BLS, May 2025); contractors typically bill about twice the wage to cover insurance, overhead and profit.

Do I need a lead-safe certified pool builder in Honolulu?
